When my daughter was a child, barely old enough to go to Pre-School, she was very nearly kidnapped.
While I was weeding the front lawn one Saturday, she was walking down to the street corner a couple of houses down from ours, when a dark-colored sedan pulled up at the corner and whoever was in the back seat tried to entice her into the car with candy.
I saw it with my own eyes and my heart froze. Before I could react, she turned and started running back to me.
I thank God that she knew enough to say no and run away. Seriously – I thank God from the bottom of my heart for her safety!
I honestly don’t know what I would have done if she had been taken. The thoughts that have crossed the inside of my skull in the many years since are something I don’t ever want to talk about.
But then, a couple of years ago, I watched a documentary that shocked me. The emotions welled up within me and I cried.
I cried with rage, and I cried with relief, reliving the event from years ago knowing that my daughter could have been trafficked and wasn’t.
I urge you – no, I plead with you – to watch this documentary: ContraLand
I was appalled to learn that human trafficking is the fastest-growing, and second-largest criminal enterprise on earth**.
In fact, it’s estimated to be a $38-50 BILLION dollar a YEAR industry in the USA alone. (Nobody knows the real numbers because most of them are unreported). Less than 1% of child trafficking victims are ever rescued.
That is simply staggering!
This is one of the world’s darkest crimes where people prey on the most vulnerable. Inevitably, when survivors escape or are rescued, they need a tremendous amount of support to get back to some semblance of a normal life.
Then last year, I watched the movie “The Sound Of Freedom”. Granted, it’s a movie and therefore artistic license taken; nevertheless, it gripped me again. Well worth watching as well.
I’m beyond sickened by this topic. How any human being can use another in this way is, in my opinion, nothing less than demonic. Satan delights in it.

Let’s get some facts straight**:
- This is a MULTI-BILLION dollar a year industry in the USA alone.
- The USA is one of the main origins and destinations for human trafficking.
- Human trafficking happens all the time, in every community.
- Children are the primary victims, although it can happen to anyone from any walk of life, gender, or age.
- Every 30 seconds a child is sold for rape, slave labor, or organ harvesting.
- Over 500,000 children go missing each year in the U.S. and is increasing at an alarming pace.
- Over 50% of victims who are sexually exploited online are between the ages of 12 and 15.
- Large events (e.g. Super Bowl, concerts, Olympics) increase the demand, and therefore the supply … over 80 victims were rescued and almost 500 arrested during a Super Bowl Human Trafficking operation (link here).

- Southern California has always been a hotspot due to its proximity to the border and popular entertainment industry.
- There are active efforts on social media and the mainstream media to suppress this truth (link here).
Why on earth would anyone with a conscience try to suppress the truth of this despicable industry?
Why would anyone NOT want to prevent children from being exploited and trafficked?
Seriously, read more about the issue of the suppression of human trafficking by Big Tech here: Is Big Tech Censoring Child Trafficking.
I could go on, but I won’t do that.
Instead, I urge you to watch the documentary “ContraLand”, review the website of the people behind it: Veterans For Child Rescue, and take action. We need to be active in our communities, always be vigilant, NOT stay silent, and PRAY!
ContraLand is available as a free documentary on YouTube in English, and also subtitled in French and Spanish.
V4CR is a nonprofit dedicated to exposing child trafficking in the USA, rescuing victims, and putting predators behind bars.
I donate to them monthly, and I sure hope you will do so as well.
Our children and all those who are trafficked are well worth it.
